ABOUT US

Our dream of becoming fulltime RVers started a few years before we retired.
In preparation we rented an RV and took a short trip to get a feel for the water. This resulted in us jumping in with both feet and buying our own RV. Over the next two years, we followed many RV youtubers to learn all we could.
During this time we both retired, April 2023.
Think summertime…Northern California, Redwoods…..
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we had a slow launch. However, we finally made it onto the road around the end of Aug 2023, and got as far as 5 miles from our house. Our very first RV Park, where we sat waiting to get our Jeep back after it was hit by a car while we sat at a Stop Sign. (This took 7 weeks)
Today we live in our 32 foot Coachmen Leprechaun RV (Lovingly named Arvey Rigsby), and tow our Black Jeep TrailHawk (UnNamed at this time).
We are a family of four, Martha, Greg, Nandi and Doran, all living in a very small space..
We adopted Nandi and Doran from a local animal shelter (They were about 3 months old) after we moved into the RV. This way, they only know living in a moving vehicle with very close quarters. Both are now fully harness trained. While waiting to get on the road, we made regular outings to a local park to leash train them away from people and animals.
Nandi is a beautiful Calico, Black and orange tortoise shell with a white under belly. Doran is a Grey Tabby.
Nandi is a proper little lady, and Doran is a typical little boy; if she is playing with anything, he runs in and claims it until she starts having fun with something else.
Our first real target changed many times over the months of delays, and due to weather, we ended up heading to Big Bend, where we spent our time hiking and watching an eclipse.
This Blog is our effort to share with everyone our experiences on the road, and to detail all the neat, wonderful, amazing, unusual things we discover.
